Background:
Dr Ezekiel Chinyio has developed an academic career spanning 19 years. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying, MSc in Construction Management and PhD in Construction Engineering and Management. He is a corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Building.
On completion of his PhD studies, Dr Chinyio took up an appointment with Glasgow Caledonian University as a Research Fellow where he investigated risk management practices in the Private Finance Initiative domain. From Glasgow, he moved to UCE Birmingham as Senior Lecturer where he spent four years teaching on their Quantity Surveying and MSc programmes.
In April 2006 Dr Chinyio transferred to SEBE where his lecturing profile is unfolding. His current teaching duties include contractual procedures, estimating and communication skills.
Research interests
Ezekiel is particularly interested in researching construction clients. His other research interests include procurement at large, construction education, knowledge management and law of contract. Ezekiel publishes in academic journals and conference proceedings and hosts seminal events. He also referees papers for academic journals and research organisations.
